From the West Atlas mountains, Beni M’rirt carpets have only recently emerged on the carpet market likely due to the enormously popularity of the  Beni Ouarain carpets.  

They are typically deeper colored rugs in hues such as reds, oranges and browns, often with primitive tribal symbols.
