Kilims are flat woven, as opposed to a knotted pile rug. Artisans weave horizontal weft and vertical warp threads on a loom.

Kiilims date back centuries, and they are known for their bright, vibrant saturated colors and traditional Fetter motif throughout, representing the desire for family unity, lovers' devotion, and lasting togetherness
